JUSTICE AND CHANGE FOR VICTIMS OF NURSING FACILITIES is an 501(c)(3) organization driven to do its part in making the world a kinder better place for our nursing facility residents. Since 2020, we have taken part in a wide range of activities to raise awareness concerning the abuse and neglect of nursing facility residents. This is truly a crisis! We strive to build a community of support for family members through connections, and information.

Making a Difference

VOLUNTEERSHIP

Support our work by getting involved with our organization.

We welcome volunteers to help with tasks such as collecting donations, assembling and delivering the birthday bags for our ‘Smiles & Hope’ program, fundraising, and outreach. As a volunteer, you can make a real difference in the lives of nursing facility residents who are so often forgotten, and also networking with other volunteers and community members.

SMILES & HOPE
BIRTHDAY GIFT PROGRAM

Justice and Change ‘Smiles & Hope’ Birthday gift program is designed to do just that, bring smiles and hope to nursing facility residents. They each receive a gift bag with items they wished for; blankets, socks, t-shirts, snacks, games, large print word search books, reading books, toiletries, make-up, hair accessories etc. Taking time to bring a smile and to let them know ‘we are thinking of you’!

PODCAST WITH ATTORNEY JOE MUSSO

Our guest today is Attorney Joe Musso. Mr. Musso has been a pioneer in nursing home abuse and neglect litigation for two decades. He speaks throughout the nation on issues of elder abuse and neglect. He educates families on how to identify and prevent abuse and neglect and teaches other attorneys in seminars and conferences on how to properly prosecute abuse and neglect claims. He is the Chair of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Long Term Care Section. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Justice Nursing Home Litigation Group, the American Association Of Justice Nursing Home Litigation Group and is a Board of Governor’s member of the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to advocating on behalf of abused and neglected elders and their families, Mr. Musso is a member of the National Consumer Voice, the leading advocacy organization for the protection of the institutionalized elderly.
